This webinar series providing strategies to implement the Planned Language Approach's (PLA) Big 5 for ALL. The PLA is a comprehensive, systemic, research-based way for Head Start and Early Head Start programs to ensure optimal language and literacy services for children who speak English and who are dual language learners (DLLs). Children need high-quality experiences in each of the Big 5: Background Knowledge; Oral Language and Vocabulary; Book Knowledge and Print Concepts; Alphabet Knowledge and Early Writing; and Phonological Awareness.

This third webinar in the five-part series will focus on Book Knowledge and Print Concepts. Children develop these skills when adults read to them and when they see environmental print in their everyday settings. Learn how to promote the PLA's Book Knowledge and Print Concepts for all children in your program.
