The Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Program for Infants and Toddlers and the DECA Preschool Program Second Edition offer a strength-based approach designed to promote resilience in children 4 weeks through 5 years old. Through the use of this assessment and planning system, early childhood professionals and families learn specific strategies to foster young children’s social and emotional health and how to enhance the overall quality of early childhood programs. This two-day training prepares participants to implement both the DECA Program for Infants and Toddlers, as well as for Preschoolers. This training will also meet the needs of participants who only plan to use the DECA for Infants and Toddlers Program OR the DECA Preschool Program. Participants will leave this training knowing how to effectively assess and plan for the classroom and caregiving environments, for individual children, as well as the adults who care for them.

Continuing Education: 13 CE’s are awarded for LCSW, LMHC and LMFT under the Devereux Florida Treatment Network Provider Number BAP 140, and 13 CE’s are awarded for Child Welfare under the Devereux Florida Number 5250-A.
