Infants and toddlers have unique needs and diverse abilities. It can be a challenge for education staff to provide quality learning opportunities for all children, including infants and toddlers with disabilities or suspected delays. Research shows that embedded learning can be a powerful way to meet this challenge. It is a strategy where early childhood educators, parents, and caregivers provide learning opportunities within activities, routines, and transitions. In this webinar, explore recent research on the effectiveness of using embedded learning to support all infants and toddlers.

Topics for the webinar include:

  • Where and when infants and toddlers learn
  • Goals that expand, modify, or are integral to daily activities or events
  • Components of embedded learning opportunities
  • Strategies to plan for embedded learning opportunities for infants and toddlers in the early learning environment

Target Audience:

  • Head Start disability coordinators, directors, and education managers
  • Mental health consultants
  • Education staff supporting children with disabilities
  • Coaches, child development specialists, and supervisors
