join the Office of Head Start (OHS) to discuss the Program Instruction (PI) released on Sept. 17, 2019, ACF-PI-HS-19-01 Disaster Recovery Funding for 2018 and 2019 Disasters. Funding is available to Head Start and Early Head Start programs in declared disaster areas following hurricanes, typhoons, wildfires, and earthquakes occurring in the calendar year 2018 and tornadoes and floods occurring in the calendar year 2019. OHS leadership will discuss the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act, 2019, which includes $55 million for Head Start program recovery. They will also review the process to make this funding available to affected programs.

OHS would also like to gather preliminary data to better understand the magnitude and types of impacts the 2018 and 2019 disasters have had on Head Start and Early Head Start programs.
