The Natio nal Center on Early Childhood Quality Assurance (ECQA Center) is pleased to host the National Launch of the Strengthening Business Practices for Child Care Providers Training-of-Trainers series. The training sessions are inte nded to support states, territories, and tribes in meeting the Child Care a nd Development Fund (CCDF) program regulation about strategies to strengthe n the business practices of child care centers and family child care (FCC) home providers and to improve the supply and quality of services.
Eac h training session includes a trainer’s guide, extensive trainer notes embe dded in PowerPoint slides, handouts, lists of additional online resources, and activity materials. Sessions will last from 2 to 3 hours and can be del ivered individually or as a series. The sessions were well received in seve n pilot-test states and are designed to maximize audience interaction and p eer-to-peer learning.
The four topics included in the training-of-tra iners series are:
· Budgets, projectio ns, and planning
· Financial reports and internal controls
· Marketing your program
· Staff recruitment and retention.
The webinar to introduce the training-of-trainers series will be held on Ma rch 14, 2019, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). Trainers will be invited to join a MyPeers community for electronic access to the curriculu m and a forum to engage in ongoing dialogue and periodic group discussions. Additional technical support will be available to interested states, terri tories, and tribes.
Who Should Participate
CCD F administrators are encouraged to participate and share this opportunity w ith their community child care partners, such as child care resource and re ferral agencies, technical assistance (TA) and training organizations, stat e-approved trainers, FCC association and network.
