Join the National Center on Early Childhood Development, Teaching, and Learning (NCECDTL), for their Leave the Bag Challenge, an interactive microlearning experience. Microlearning is a method of virtual learning taking 10 minutes or less that targets a specific skill set or competency. Explore four home visiting skills that support parents’ use of everyday home materials to foster their child’s development and learning.

Starting May 28, we’ll offer one session each day that you can view at any time. Access each session in the Individualized Professional Development Portfolio (iPD) on the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC). At the end of each session, you will be presented a challenge to complete at your next home visit. On the last day, join one of three live discussions in the iPD at 2 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. MT, or 2 p.m. PT.

Topics for the Home Visitor e-Institute include:

May 28: Using Everyday Materials in the Home for Learning
May 29: Supporting Parents to Find and Use Home Materials in Playful Ways
May 30: Using Established Routines at Home to Support Learning
May 31: Helping Parents Infuse Their Child’s Learning Experiences with Home Language and Family Culture
Live Discussion – 2 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. MT, or 2 p.m. PT
