  1. Today is June 1, and you know what that means. Welcome to the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which runs through November 30. It only takes one storm to impact a community, and preparations should be made beforehand. The first of two disaster preparedness sales tax holidays began May 27 - June 9 and August 26 - September 8. The time is now to prepare your supply kits and take advantage of these savings. Here is a link to download on what should be in your emergency supply kits. Remember to bookmark FloridaDisaster.org to stay updated and revisit your emergency preparedness recovery plans.

  2. CCHP Health and Safety Checklist, The Health and Safety Checklist is a 112-item tool developed to assess key health and safety standards and identify ways to improve health and safety in early care and education (ECE) programs. Improve your program’s health and safety with this ECE checklist, available in 3 languages.

  3. The Role of CCHCs in Supporting Nutrition and Physical Activity Thursday, June 08, 2023 @ 1:00 PM ET. Join the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety to learn how child care health consultants (CCHCs) can work with programs to share current practices and identify strategies to ensure access to nutritious food, promote healthy mealtime practices, and integrate opportunities for physical activity throughout the day!

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.
