Calling all HS/EHS Directors!

FHSA Director's Affiliate Group Seeks Self-Nominations

The Florida Head Start Association (FHSA) seeks self-nominations from its membership to serve as Chair of the Director's Affiliate Group. This person will fulfill the existing term from the previous chair until September 30, 2024, at which point the chair will have the option to become re-elected for a two-year term.

The affiliate group is an arm of the association structure. It serves as a peer-to-peer networking group, assisting FHSA to disseminate information and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Chair is not considered part of the FHSA Board of Directors. To be eligible to serve in this role, your Head Start/Early Head Start agency must be an active member of FHSA, and you are the director or person designated as the operational/administrative responsible of the grantee/program/agency.

FHSA has opened the self-nomination process to fill the FHSA Directors Affiliate Group Chair role. Per FHSA Policies and Procedures, the roles and responsibilities of the Chair are as follows:

4.3 b. Roles and Responsibilities of Chair

1. Establish formal meeting times for the affiliate group.

2. Work with the Executive Director to create an agenda for each meeting.

3. Assign a member the responsibility of taking meeting notes to deliver to members via email or posted on the FHSA website.

If this sounds like something of interest to you, please nominate yourself to serve in this capacity.

Self-nominations will be accepted through March 15, 2024. To start, click the Submit Self-Nomination button below to log in and begin the nomination process or click here.
