This interactive and engaging session will allow participants to unpack their own ideas and visions regarding creating a caring and educated setting. We may see the world through various lenses, but it does not mean we can’t work cohesively to create the change we want to see! As directors, supervisors, managers, and other leadership members, we must make sure that we lead alongside our team. It is this hands-on effort that will elevate our organizations.
Dr. Kimberly P. Johnson will use her expertise in Leadership, Teaching, and Diversity to help participants recognize that they have what it takes to bring everyone together in a safe and productive manner. She will provide participants with practical tools to help make a difference in how they interact and engage with others. As advocates, we must continue to fill in gaps and build bridges to help us all learn to connect and love more. The work that we do is not just about being educated. Leaders as Every Day C.O.A.C.H.E.S.
This 1-hour session will focus on activities that will increase the autonomy and leadership of the team members within the setting. Leaders will learn how to increase creativity, communication, and motivation through the strategies presented. Participants will engage in activities that are designed for immediate use. The session will encourage leaders to become stronger listeners and learn to re-examine their own attitudes toward challenging situations. Tools for communication and self-esteem techniques will be addressed. Participants will also examine how they can use their experiences to further enhance the development of positive interactions, self-efficacy, and cohesion. We all have the ability to be Every Day COACHES!!
