Register Here!Healthy social and emotional development in early childhood helps form the foundation for good lifelong mental health. There are many mental health supports that can be integrated into early childhood education (ECE) and home visiting programs. These supports build skills and knowledge in the workforce, promote children’s healthy development, strengthen nurturing caregiver–child relationships, and alleviate some of the stress and burnout experienced by providers. Join the Office of Early Childhood Development on Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day 2024 to learn about strategies that can support Head Start, Child Care and Development Fund, Preschool Development Grant Birth to Five, and Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program recipients to strengthen mental health supports for children and families. Discover how states, territories, and Tribal communities are leveraging partnerships, implementing innovative practices, and leading efforts to promote child, family, and workforce wellness. These efforts support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Roadmap for Behavioral Health Integration and advance efforts to integrate behavioral health care into early care and education programs.
