  1. As a new school year approaches, now is a perfect opportunity to reorient staff about mitigating child safety issues in their Head Start program. This data brief provides information on deficient and noncompliant citations related to child safety that OHS has identified and issued to Head Start grant recipients through monitoring reviews. 2. FHSA has developed an advocacy alert pre-service flyer for you to use as an opportunity to share how your staff can advocate for Head Start to ensure House members know how their proposing cuts would harm the children and families we serve and urge your Senators to support increased funding for Head Start!

  3. As children return to programs, several important health issues are on the minds of parents and educators. Explore these resources, including topics such as lead awareness, home safety and injury prevention, and mental health, which can be given to parents and staff. Find helpful information and essential tips that parents and staff can easily understand. ECKLC

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
