  1. Black history is American history and an opportunity for reflection and celebration. Did you know that Head Start’s history is deeply intertwined with the Civil Rights Movement? Check this article by NHSA to learn how determined community leaders, many of whom were Civil Rights advocates ready to challenge the status quo, worked to build Head Start into the life-changing force we know.

  2. Download this Free Get Moving Today! Activity Calendar. Calendar offered in English and Spanish. Compliments of SHAPE America – Society of Health and Physical Educators

  3. Home Visiting: Partnering with Parents to Support Emotional Literacy webinar Wednesday, February 08, 2023, @ 3:00 PM, ET. Emotional literacy refers to an individual’s ability to recognize their feelings and communicate and express them in healthy ways. This webinar will explore strategies and resources that support how home visitors can partner with parents to foster children’s emotional literacy.

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
