NHSA Reacts to GAO Report on Interim Management in Head Start, January 23, 2025, Washington, D.C.—On January 21, 2025, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report outlining recommendations for improving the oversight of interim management of Head Start grants. The GAO’s report focused on how the Office of Head Start (OHS) monitors interim grant management and provided a series of recommendations for how to improve oversight during these rare instances.

  2. Growth Circles: Unlocking the Power of Fatherhood. The Pennsylvania Head Start Association invites FHSA members to a valuable training series on engaging fathers in early childhood programs. This four-part webinar will provide practical strategies for support. Register by February 4, 2025, for $400 for all sessions. Registered programs can bring parents for free. Don’t miss out!

  3. Join the Florida Head Start Collaboration Office for a workshop on Identification Strategies to Support the Enrollment of Children and Families Experiencing Homelessness on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at noon. In partnership with SchoolHouse Connection, FLHSCO will provide best practices and resources for enrollment managers and recruitment staff.
