  1. Attn: CFO's!  ICYMI: The Administration for Children and Families released IM yesterday, ACF-IM-HS-23-03, regarding the Treatment of Rebates, Refunds, Discounts, and Similar Cost Savings. This IM provides guidance on cost-saving measures and how the savings should be treated by the recipient toward the Head Start award and to ensure that direct and indirect cost reductions or cash refunds that relate to a Head Start award are reflected in the recipient’s accounting practices, allocated correctly, and returned to the federal award appropriately.

  2. Join the National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement for their final webinar in the Days of Hope and Courage series on Thursday, July 13, 2023, @ 1:00 PM ET, where they will explore the value of using storytelling with a perspective that highlights strengths and how this technique of asking families to share their stories has enriched their relationships with families in their programs.

  3. July is National Picnic Month, making it the perfect opportunity to take your meal service out into the warmer weather! Check out the CACFP Happy Summer activity page with a delicious fruit salad recipe for these hot summer days. Compliments of the National CACFP Sponsors Association
