  1. Congress members will return to their districts in August for five weeks. What an excellent opportunity for Head Start programs to connect with their lawmakers by inviting them to visit their programs. Check out our advocacy resources webpage to get started, and if you need assistance, don't hesitate to contact FHSA at (850) 694-6477 or email [email protected]

  2. Head Start programs prioritize child safety, and developing strategies to mitigate potential incidents is foundational to Head Start services. Check out the Keeping Them Safe video series exploring the 10 health and safety training topics required by the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act.

  3. Did you know the Head Start Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) website has been translated into Spanish? To locate Spanish material, click the Español button on the homepage's upper right corner and explore or search the website in Spanish.

Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Wanda Minick
