  1. Senate Appropriations Committee Approves Funding Increase for Head Start and Early Head Start. Washington, D.C.–The Senate Appropriations Committee passed the Fiscal Year 2024 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill, which provides $12.3 billion for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, an increase of $275 million over Fiscal Year 2023.   2. Free Resources Promoting the Dietary Guidelines in English and Spanish. The US Departments of Agriculture and Health & Human Services have developed resources to promote healthy eating across the lifespan. Use the information on this page to learn more about the Dietary Guidelines and get tips and resources to share with others. USDA

  3. With the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Biden Administration’s Student Loan Debt Relief plan, student loan repayments of the full remaining amount resume soon. Interest will begin to accrue September 1, and payments will begin October 1. If you or the families you support have student loan debt, prepare for payments to resume with this advice from the Department of Education. Federal Student Aid
