  1. Giving you a Heads Up! FHSA has heard that the Office of Head Start is preparing to release a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) on the Head Start Program Performance Standards. The NPRM should come out in the next week or so. We've heard that could be centered around staffing and workforce and in relation to President Biden's executive Order from several months ago on the early childhood workforce. We will keep you posted.

  2. FY24 Risk Assessment Notification (RAN) Information: Head Start recipients must report health and safety incidents to the Office of Head Start Regional Office immediately or as soon as practicable. This webinar will provide guidance and detailed information regarding child health and safety incidents and risk assessment notifications (RANs) in Head Start programs.  ECKLC, November 2, 2023

  3. Tackling Challenging Behaviors with Insight webinar on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, @ 4:00 PM ET. Please visit our WYNTK resource webpage, which is updated regularly, and the FHSA events list for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we will continue to work with state agencies and partners to answer your questions.
