Infant and early childhood mental health consultation (IECMHC) plays an important role in supporting Head Start and child care programs. This webinar features ways that IECMHC can address program challenges such as staff wellness, staff morale, and challenging behavior. It also highlights a new course, Foundations of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation, available on the Individualized Professional Development (iPD) Portfolio. The course offers a detailed learning experience for mental health consultants and anyone who uses or wants to learn more about core competencies needed for IECMHC, and outlines tasks and best practices associated with offering consultation at various levels.
