The goal for all children in Head Start, including those with disabilities, is to be successful learners. Children with disabilities and their families have a team of people working with them, empowering families to be advocates and coordinating programming and partnerships to provide each child with a pathway for learning success.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) service providers, such as school districts or early intervention are important partners in this process.
