Join BPC on Monday, March 13 to hear from Dr. Walter Gilliam, the recently named executive director of Nebraska University’s Buffett Early Childhood Institute, on implicit bias and the implications it has on the early childhood workforce and children in early learning settings. Tackling implicit bias in early education can change children’s long term trajectories and is a necessary step to building a more equitable society.

Dr. Gilliam is a leading expert in the education, health and mental health of young children. He is a widely published and cited researcher, author, and speaker with expertise in early childhood care and education programs, school readiness, and mental health supports for young children, among other areas.
