The Florida Head Start Association Announces Its Newest Elected Members to the Board of Directors
Tallahassee, FL., August 20, 2024 - The Florida Head Start Association (FHSA) is pleased to announce its newly elected members to the FHSA Board of Directors: Andrea Fraizer, JewRonda Green, and Autumn Tomas. Elections were held on August 8- 16, 2024, to fill the upcoming three Director At Large board seats becoming vacant upon the conclusion of Brigette Davis and Gloria Gonzalez's service. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Brigette Davis and Gloria Gonzalez for their dedicated service. Their board term ends on September 30, 2024. The FHSA board had an open seat that was never filled when Temple Deplato resigned after leaving the state.
Members of the association play a crucial role in our democratic process, electing directors from a slate of self-nominations from the eligible membership.
We eagerly anticipate the induction of our new board members at the FHSA annual conference & expo on October 1-4, 2024, in Orlando, FL. Their term will officially begin on October 1 and run through September 30, 2026, with an option to serve an additional two years.
We are delighted with the newest additions to the FHSA Board of Directors and are eagerly anticipating the leadership and expertise each will bring to leading the association.
For 25 years, the Florida Head Start Association has been the state organization representing Head Start/Early Head Start, Migrant & Seasonal, Head Start/Early Head Start, and Child Care Partnerships. Our work has a profound impact on families, and we empower our members to advocate, lead, and enhance the education, health, and social services provided to them by Head Start.
