Here's what you need to know

  1. It's the Final Countdown! Send in nominations by June 3, 2024. Help us recognize the merit of our peers. FHSA awards the work of those making outstanding contributions to the children and families provided by Florida's Head Start/Early Head Start programs.

  2. FHSA is hosting workgroups for those interested in delving into the NPRM and all the changes and challenges this ruling presents to programs. We have three workgroups available. Click the link below to the one of interest to you.

    ▪️NPRM Workgroup: Benefits Standards, Wednesday, May 29, @ 9:00 a.m.
    ▪️NPRM Workgroup: Wage Standards, Wednesday, May 29 @ 10:00 a.m.
▪️NPRM Workgroup: Family Services Workers, Wednesday, June26 @ 1:30 p.m. (this is this groups second call)

  3. Head Start Program Information 2023-2024 reporting is open through August 31, 2024. Grant Recipients in the DRM FY2023 Cohort deadline is June 30, 2024. The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024, signed into law on March 23, 2024, included new flexibilities for determining eligibility for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start (MSHS)programs. If programs exercised these new flexibilities for eligibility determinations during the 2023–2024 program year, they are encouraged to report families deemed eligible using categories A.13.e and A.13.f to the extent necessary in implementing the new law.

Please visit our  WYNTK resource webpage, for archived WYNTK and FHSA events for more information. If there is something else you need guidance on, let us know - we are happy to connect with you and learn how FHSA can serve you better.

Sincerely,
