Here's what you need to know

  1. Capitol Connection: Week 4 is out — don’t miss FACCT’s wrap‑up of the latest action in Florida’s 2026 Legislative Session. Education, early learning, healthcare, and child welfare proposals all moved forward this week, including major early learning legislation shaping workforce supports and program flexibility. Review the update to stay current as budget and policy negotiations take shape.

  2. Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors has released clear, practical resources—available in English and Spanish—to help families and providers understand their rights and prepare for potential interactions with ICE. Please review and share as part of routine preparedness planning.

  3. Join the National Center on Health, Behavioral Health, and Safety on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 PM for “Heartwork and Healing: Caring for the Caregivers of Children Affected by Trauma.” This webinar helps child care professionals recognize signs of secondary traumatic stress and offers practical strategies to strengthen self‑care and build a culture of community care.

The FHSA Office will be closed on Monday, February 16th
  In observance of Presidents' Day.
We will resume normal operations on Tuesday, February 17th.
