The Division of Early Learning is hosting a two Rules Workshop for 6M-8.201, Child Enrollment Procedure for the Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Education Program, and 6M-8.201, Reenrollment in the Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program. Both workshops are on July 6. Click the links above for details. 

  2. The 34th edition of the Annie E. Casey Foundation has released its 2023 Kids Count® Data Book: State Trends in Child Well-Being. The 50-state report of recent household data analyzing how children and families are faring. The Data Book reports that in 2020—21, 13%  of children birth to age 5  in Florida lived in families in which someone quit, changed, or refused a job because of problems with child care, the same as the national average.  Florida ranks 31st in child well-being, 37th in economic well-being, 33rd in health, 32nd in family and community, and 5th in education.
