Florida's 2023 Regular Legislative Session adjourned on Friday, May 5, at 11:00 a.m. The Florida Head Start Association (FHSA) has reviewed the bills that passed impact early learning and now await Governor Ron DeSantis's signature. The Governor has until May 31, 2023, to act on these bills. Here's what you need to know.

Helping Early Childhood Educators Thrive: Promoting ECE Staff Mental Health and Well-Being Wednesday, May 31, 2023, @ 3:00 PM ET, join the Office of Head Start during Mental Health Awareness Month for a webinar to learn how programs and states are leveraging the expertise of infant and early childhood mental health consultants (IECMHC) and other resources to support educators’ and providers’ wellness, as well as that of children and families.

    The Florida Head Start Association office will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Our office will reopen on Tuesday, May 30.
